Mountainbiken Ehrwalder Alm

Start your bike tour from the mountain station of the Ehrwald Alm cable car. By taking the lift you will overcome the first hurdle comfortably and without any effort! There is plenty of room for bikes in the 8 person capacity cable cars.
Experienced bikers can ride straight up the mountain from the valley station, it is a 400m climb in altitiude to the mountain station and tours can be continued from there.

The transportation of mountain bikes with the cable car is free of charge!

Hochfeldernalm

Describtion:
From the Ehrwalder Alm it is a steady climb past the Pestkapelle along the gravel path to the Hochfeldernalm.

 

 

Seebensee

Start: Ehrwalder Almbahn mountain station
Riding time: 40 minutes
Altitude: 150
Grade of difficulty: easy  

Describtion:
From the Ehrwalder Alm it is a steady climb to the beautiful mountain region which leads to the Seebenalm. From there follow the gravel path up the mountain towards the Seebensee.

 

 

Um den Wetterstein

Describtion:
There is a short climb from the Ehrwalder Alm followed by a long downhill run through the Gaistal to Leutasch. Continue in the direction of Mittenwald via Elmau Castle and Wamberg to Garmisch Partenkirchen Ski Stadium. From there travel in the direction of the Eibsee and up to the Eibsee Blick, (you may need to get off and push your bike at this point) past the Hochthörle Hütte and back down towards Ehrwald.

 

 

Um die Mieminger Kette

Start: Ehrwalder Almbahn mountain station
Riding time: 6,5 hours

Distance: 72 km
Grade of difficulty: difficult    

Describtion
The tour starts from the Ehrwalder Alm (bike transport is free for guests using the cable car) After climbing just a few meters in altitude you can enjoy a downhill ride of almost 10km through the Gaistal to Leutasch. From Leutasch the tour takes you over the Birkenberg to Telfs (the lowest point of the tour). The climax of the ride is the climb to Alphaus and from there you continue along the Sonnenplateau circular pathto the Mieminger Plateau in the directio of the Fernpass and Arzkasten. the route then crosses the Marienbergjoch to Biberwier and back towards Ehrwald.

In 2005 the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena was awarded the best mountain bike region in Austria.
With more than 100 tour opportunities totalling 4.330 km the region is a paradise for mountain bikers.
The unique landscape around the Zugspitze, the Wetterstein range with it's 8 lakes and untouched valleys are a great adventure for all nature lovers.
